Is eating Kosher healthier?

At NuGo, all of our products are certified kosher. We do this for both religious reasons and quality assurance. Research projects have found only 15% of people buy kosher for religious reasons. NuGo Spends the Holiday in Arizona

NuGo goes to Penn State

A loyal NuGo fan submitted this great picture and post of her tailgate . She comments, “Another home season at Penn State’s Happy Valley has now ended. NuGo bars joined us at all of our tailgating parties. They are also the perfect snack to take with you into the game.” Unfortunately, she also mentioned this group lost a confiscated bar to the ticket taker on the way in. I’ll bet he enjoyed his break!

NuGo does the OBX Marathon

It was a great day to run the Outer Banks Marathon on Sunday, November 15th. The sun was out and all of the runners were ready to go! This year was the biggest event ever with over 6,500 people. With such a huge turn out, we were glad NuGo Nutrition was there to cheer them on!

Brad enjoyed a delicious Orange Smoothie NuGo Nutrition Bar after finding his legs. Brad finished in 3:25 and needed to energize! With 11 grams of protein and a low glycemic response he was ready to go in no time. Way to go Brad, great finish!!

On his way around the Navy Pier ferris wheel, Mitch stopped to take a picture with his favorite flavor of NuGo bar; NuGo Family, Milk Chocolate. This ferris wheel was modeled after the first ferris wheel made in 1893 for the World’s Columbian Exposition. The ferris wheel provides a great view of Chicago’s City Skyline from above. It also allows time to munch on a NuGo bar during the 7 minute ride.

NuGo Loves REAL Dark Chocolate

People need to remember that chocolate can be healthy for you. But just like everything else, it needs to be eaten in moderation. Be sure to check all products for REAL Chocolate ingredients.

The biggest problem with the chocolate industry right now is that companies are getting away with not using real chocolate. Chocolate needs to have a non fat solid (like cocoa powder) and a fat portion: cocoa butter. Many companies are substituting a cheaper vegetable fat alternative (palm kernel oil or even worse, Fractionated Palm Kernel Oil)for cocoa butter.
