NuGo Athlete of the Month: Kate Hall

Kate Hall, a professional track and field athlete, was diagnosed with type one diabetes at the age of 10. At age 22, she is a two-time NCAA Champion and indoor U.S. Champion in the long jump. Her long jump PR is 6.83 meters. Kate also holds the American Junior long jump record, with a jump of 22 feet 5 inches. She aspires to become an Olympian and an advocate for others with type one diabetes.

Her greatest achievement was breaking the national high school record in the long jump and going to the 2016 Olympic Trials.

Kate’s favorite NuGo bar is NuGo Slim Chocolate Mint.

“I like them because they don’t cause blood sugar spikes considering I am a type one diabetic. This makes it perfect to use in my training because it’s a good pre-practice snack that won’t make my blood sugars go too high.”

Outside of track and field, Kate loves to paddleboard and hike with her dog. Follow Kate on her journey to the 2020 Olympics on Instagram.
