Melissa Randall is the owner and creator of Baking with Melissa, an all-inclusive, in-home baking party entertainment company for kids and teens in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. She creates once in a lifetime memories for kids and their families, baking one cupcake at a time. Despite owning a business focused on sweets, she tries to eat healthy as much as possible.
How does Melissa avoid the temptation of eating her scrumptious cupcakes? “NuGo bars keep me on track and prevent me from eating the cupcakes that I am always baking,” said Melissa. “When I eat a NuGo bar, I feel like I am eating a dessert so I never feel deprived.” She eats a NuGo bar every day for breakfast. “When I started eating NuGo bars for breakfast, it helped me make better food choices throughout the day and I lost the few pounds that I wanted to lose and have maintained my weight since,” said Melissa.
Additionally, she always has a bar in her purse and in her car to avoid eating fast food. Melissa’s favorite flavors are vegan and gluten-free NuGo Dark Peanut Butter Cup, Chocolate Pretzel, and Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Three years ago, Melissa tried her first NuGo bar during a short layover at an airport in New York. She loved it so much that she saved the wrapper and now purchases many boxes at at her local Whole Foods.
